Plutus Crypto

High value, in person

Luxury retail above the card limit

A watch, a piece of jewellery, a car. The buyer is standing in front of you with the means to pay and a card that stops at five thousand. Crypto has no limit, clears in minutes and cannot be pulled back.

The problem

What the card rail costs you here

Card limits and phone calls

Above a few thousand the card gets declined or the issuer wants a phone call. The sale stalls in the showroom while the buyer waits.

Chargebacks on high value goods

A single disputed €20,000 sale wipes out the margin on a month. Card schemes side with the cardholder more often than not.

Bank transfers are slow

A wire is cheap but the buyer cannot walk out with the goods until it lands, and international wires take days.

How Plutus fits

What we switch on for you

The product is the same underneath. These are the pieces that matter in luxury retail, in the order most merchants adopt them.

In store terminalPayment linksSecurityCurrencies
1

The terminal

Type the amount, turn the screen, the buyer scans. Release the goods when the network says final: about twenty minutes on Bitcoin, under a minute on XRP or a stablecoin.

2

Payment links for remote buyers

Send a link with the item reference. The buyer pays from wherever they are, and you ship when it confirms.

3

Screening you can show

Every incoming payment is screened before it is credited. For high value goods that is not a nice to have, it is what keeps your bank relationship intact.

4

A receipt with the hash

The printed or emailed receipt carries the transaction hash, which is the only proof of payment that cannot be argued with.

A worked example

A jeweller, €12,000 sale

Carddeclined or a 20 minute call, 2.5 percent if it goes through, dispute exposure for six months
Plutus, USDC on Solana€360 fee, final in under a minute, no dispute
Plutus, Bitcoin€360 fee, final in about twenty minutes, goods released when the dashboard says so

Illustrative. Card figures are typical European ranges and depend on your acquirer, sector and volume.
