Three percent. Then it is your call.
You pay three percent per transaction and nothing else. Conversion, blockchain network fees and settlement to your bank are inside it. What you do with that is up to you: absorb it like you absorb card fees, or add a surcharge at checkout and keep the difference.
Rate excludes VAT. Above one million per month, talk to us and we will sharpen it.
Compared
Against the rails you already use
Card fees look small until you add the chargebacks, the reserves and the days you wait. Bank transfers are cheap and slow. Crypto sits in a different place on both axes.
Card and bank figures are typical European ranges; yours depend on your acquirer, sector and volume.
Inside the three percent
What you never see on the bill
- ✓Conversion at the locked rate, whichever way the market moved
- ✓Network fees on every chain, including the expensive days on Ethereum
- ✓Screening of every incoming transaction
- ✓Settlement to your bank by SEPA or Faster Payments
- ✓Dashboard users, exports, webhooks and support
Outside it
The only things that cost extra
- ·Payouts you send out in crypto carry the network fee of that chain at that moment, shown before you confirm
- ·A dedicated hardware terminal, if you want one instead of a phone or tablet
- ·Settlement in a currency other than euros, pounds or dollars, quoted per case
- ·VAT, where it applies to you
Questions about cost
Straight answers
Is there a minimum monthly volume?
No. A shop that takes one crypto payment a month pays three percent on that one payment. There is nothing to justify keeping the account open.
How does the surcharge work legally?
In most European countries you may charge a fee for a payment method as long as it does not exceed your own cost and is shown before the customer commits. Three percent is your cost, so a three percent surcharge is safe everywhere. Above that, check the rules of your country; we can point you to them.
Does the percentage apply to the crypto amount or the euro amount?
To the euro, pound or dollar amount your customer was quoted. If they overpay, the surplus is held for you without a fee. If they underpay, no fee is taken until you decide what to do.
What about refunds, do I pay again?
No. The fee on the original payment is not returned, but the refund itself carries only the network fee of the chain you refund on, shown before you confirm.
Can I get a better rate at volume?
Above one million per month, yes. Below that, three percent is what everyone pays, which is also why we can keep onboarding quick and the contract short.
